Cassandra
Cassandra has been dancing since childhood, including belly dance, ballet, Broadway and rhythm tap, modern, jazz and theatrical. Her dancing style has been described as “elegant, graceful and sophisticated.”
She is also a certified fitness instructor and personal trainer for the past fifteen years. She teaches cabaret style belly dancing, a fusion of Middle Eastern styles influenced by classical dance and world folk dances. In addition, she has developed a special class, Pilates for Belly Dancers.
Cassandra has also performed in local theatrical musicals ranging from Pippin to Hello Dolly. Most recently, she performed in Tasha’s Elements show, a Middle Eastern dance extravaganza.
She loves belly dance as a synthesis of dance styles, sensual and fun, historically influenced by nomadic tribes bringing elements from flamenco and other regional folk dances to it. Cassandra enjoys music from Greece, Israel and Spain.
