Linda

Linda is not only an enthusiastic member of Embers & Emeralds, she is the official troupe artist! When she was lured into belly dancing four years ago, she found a new subject matter for her art: dancers in action! Linda created the troupe's logo and also has done portraits of local belly dancers as well as other dance-related graphic designs. Some of her art can be seen on the troupe's Cafepress website link.

Always curious about the many different styles of belly dance, Linda continually attends workshops in saidi, cabaret, tribal and gypsy-middle eastern fusion dance. Her favorite type of dance is "the one I'm currently learning!" She feels firmly supported by the esprit de corps which exists in the troupe and loves working towards artistic goals with the members.

Linda has been teaching art in a local school district for 28 years. Apparently she enjoys it so much she even teaches private classes in the summer for both children and adults! Other passions include bonsai (she is an active member of the Bonsai Society of the Lehigh Valley) jewelry-making and mixed-media art.
