Rebekah

Rebekah has been dancing less than a year, but has enjoyed every minute of it! She’s the rare dancer gifted with a natural understanding of the curving movements of belly dance. Rebekah said she was drawn to the mystique of belly dancing. “It was always something I’d admired from afar, until I was presented with the chance to pursue it,” she says.

She enjoys watching the expressions on people’s faces when they watch a performer, and loves the ability it gives her to express herself in a new way that’s “more than jazz hands and hip shakin’!”

Rebekah is thrilled to be a part of Embers & Emeralds. “I really love the group – each person is different and brings something to the table. If we were all the same we’d never progress! Having people with varying backgrounds and tastes helps us expand and evolve,” she says.

During the day, Rebekah works as a totally gnarly sales promotions writer for marketing at an exciting New Jersey-based company, and is working to get her Masters degree in Corporate & Organizational Communications at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
